COVID-19

Dear Clients,

We want to thank you for your patience during this pandemic and for your understanding of our hospital's need to social distance during this difficult time in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Now that approximately 50% of NC residents have received either one or two vaccinations and the case numbers have remained stable, we are planning to open our doors to start having clients in the building again on Monday, May 3, 2021. However, the safety of our clients, staff, and patients remain our utmost priority and concern. Therefore we have a few guidelines and procedures we are asking our clients to follow:

-Clients will continue to be sent electronic check-in forms to reduce time spent in the building for the check-in process.
-There will be typical COVID-19 screening questions for exposure and symptoms prior to each visit.
-Please do not come into the building if you have a fever, COVID-19 symptoms, or suspected or known COVID-19 exposure. Per the CDC, even if you are vaccinated, you can still transmit the virus.
-Clients will need to maintain social distancing and wear masks (covering the nose and mouth) at all times.
-There will be plexiglass shields at the front desk and floor markers reminding people to stay 6 feet apart.
-Our staff will be dedicated to regular cleaning and disinfection of rooms and surfaces throughout the day.
-We ask that all medical appointments continue to call us when you arrive so that we can make sure there is an exam room ready for you and your pet.
-Drop off appointments, surgery appointment check-ins, and any client that prefers a curbside appointment will remain curbside for now.
-Grooming, daycare, and boarding clients can drop-off/pick-up in the lobby.
-Due to social distancing practices, we ask that no more than 2 people per appointment come into the building.

We will continue to re-evaluate and relax guidelines and restrictions based on guidance by the state of North Carolina and the Center of Disease Control. Should there be a spike in regional COVID-19 cases or positive exposure, we reserve the right to transition back to curbside-only service for the safety of our clients and staff.

Again, thank you for all of your patience and understanding over this past year. We are ready to see you face-to-face again!
