Group Play/Daycare (Canine ONLY):

  • Daycare and boarding guests are placed in play groups according to size, temperament, and energy level.
  • During play groups dogs interact with other dogs. In the course of such interaction and play, your pet may suffer injuries such as, but not limited to, nicks, cuts, bites, scrapes, and sprains.
  • Your pet may be removed from group play at the discretion of CAHPI and may not be permitted to interact further with other pets during current or subsequent stays.
  • Do not bring your pet to daycare if showing signs of illness. Symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, etc may indicate an illness that could be contagious. If any signs of illness are noticed while your pet is in daycare we will remove him/her from the group and contact you immediately.
  • By initialing below you take on all risks associated with group play such as potential injury from running and playing, altercations from other dogs, inherent risks outside of our control, and acute medical and emergency conditions that may arise.

Solo Guests:

Temperament/Behavior:

  • CAHPI is not a training facility, but we are prepared to work with pets that may have minor, non-aggressive behavioral issues. Any pet whose behavior is deemed to be unacceptable or a risk to our staff and other guests will not be allowed to participate in our daycare program.
  • We understand that even the most docile pet can have an “off” day and show some level of aggression, whether that be barking, snarling, or biting. Any incident will be documented and assessed by the staff. Behavior and the environment leading up to the incident, the character of the pets involved, and the severity of the incident will all be taken into account. You will be notified if your pet receives or causes an injury.
  • Safety of our guests and staff is always our priority. CAHPI reserves the right to no longer offer boarding services to dogs or cats due to concerning behavior or aggression.
  • You may be assessed a special handling care fee for pets with fractious temperaments that puts our staff at an increased risk of injury and takes additional time and procedure.

Multiple Pets/Sharing Accommodations:

  • CAHPI reserves the right to separate pets for safety and charge for separate accommodations.

Elderly/Special Needs Guests:

      emergencies of your pet.
    • We adhere to strict and rigorous sanitation and care standards and require all of our guests to be
adequately vaccinated and up to date on preventative care to provide your pet with the safest environment possible. However, given the nature of boarding and daycare, as with human daycare, there is inherent risk of injury and exposure or development of certain diseases or conditions including, but not limited to, kennel cough, upper respiratory illness, GI upset, happy tail, raw nose or nails, and bloat or sudden death from conditions such as epilepsy or heart disease.
