Dr. Thill
Dr. Sharla Thill grew up in Belleville, IL., outside of St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a BA in Biology. After receiving her DVM with honors from the University of Ilinois College of Vet Med in 1995, Dr. Thill was an associate veterinarian in Channahon, IL for 18 years before venturing out as a relief veterinarian in the suburbs of Chicago.
In 2017, Dr. Thill talked her husband and four girls into moving away from the cold Chicago winters and starting a new life in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Thill continued to provide relief veterinary services after her move to the Raleigh/Durham area before joining the team at Carpenter Animal Hospital. Her special interests include internal and preventative medicine.
Dr. Thill lives with her husband, Ed, their girls, and their pets including Ella (Great Pyrenees mix), Rufus (Shepard mix), and Skye (Great Pyrenees) plus 4 cats – Mozzie, B11, Snickers, and Percy. In her spare time, Dr. Thill enjoys reading, running, nature walks, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
