Dr. Hodges

Dr. Hodges was raised on a farm in a small town in North Carolina. His early years gave him experience with a wide range of animals. Between working with the animals on the farm and at the local animal shelter, it became obvious that animal care would become his career path.

Dr. Hodges attended North Carolina State University for his undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Biological Sciences. He then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from NCSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he developed and honed his clinical skills. He has been with Carpenter Animal Hospital since 2013.

When not working, Dr. Hodges is spending time with his wife, 3 children, and pack of animals. He enjoys gardening, the beach, travel, and swimming in his free time.

While Dr. Hodges enjoys the variety of general veterinary practice, he has a special interest in surgery, dentistry, oncology, radiology, and cardiology. He has obtained extensive continuing education in surgery, ultrasonography, and echocardiography. One of his biggest passions is helping rescue animals in need and he frequently takes in special medical cases from rescues and rural shelters to give them a second chance.

Dr. Hodges places the highest priority on patient care and client satisfaction, and he is excited to serve your veterinary medical needs!
