Dr. Peace
Dr. Peace grew up in Henderson, North Carolina and has known that he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was 10 years old. He attended NC State for undergraduate studies where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. Immediately after undergrad, he went to the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
While in vet school, Dr. Peace was named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute – National Institutes of Health Research Scholar, the only veterinary medical student in the country to win this award. This started Dr. Peace’s appreciation for medical research, and how quickly medicine evolves. After completing his DVM, he went to Duke University for Graduate School, earning a Masters Degree in Pathology.
Dr. Peace lives with his girlfriend, and their two dogs. They are a Blue Devil family, avidly cheering on the Duke University Blue Devils. When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Peace spends his free time as a hobby travel photographer, traveling to Disney Parks around the world.
